The brand that will replace Zara in your heart? Her name is Brownie and she has just opened her first store in Paris.
Do you like Zara? You will love Brownie. That spanish labellaunched in 2006 by Mercedes Ortega and Juan Morera has just moved to Paris. Its first store, located at 74, rue de Rennes in the VIth arrondissement brings together all the ingredients for success: a cozy boutique where the brand’s cheerful collections flourish, sold at low prices, between 15 and 115 euros. It must be said that Brownie is not at his first attempt. Since its birth in the middle of the Y2K decade, the brand named after the dog of the founding family has spread all over the world and today counts twenty-seven stores in Europe as well as corners in Mexico and Chile. In France, it is in spring that Brownie settled in 2021. In the French fashion capital, but also in Rennes, Marseille, Nancy, Lille and Toulon.
What’s in Brownie?
Of all ! And above all, of jeans out of sight. Skirts, jeans, overalls, jackets that meet all the trends of the season, between patchworks, prints and skilfully done washes. Another specialty of the label: small stitches knitted. Sleeveless vests, cut-out sweaters and comforting cardigans color the brand’s shelves. And the colors, precisely, are explosive. Something to stand out in the Parisian gloom… In addition to women’s ready-to-wear, Brownie also offers a line of sportswear, underwear and its first fragrances. In the shoe section, the sneakers of her compatriot Victoria fill the stalls while decoration fans can get their hands on funny bowls and mugs. In short, impossible to go to Brownie without robbing the store!
