The two works, a self-portrait called “Nosepicker 1: Why pick on me” and “Living Room”, were created by the then 20-year-old Warhol in 1948 and are expected to sell for a total of $450,000-950,000, equivalent to 4.7 -9.9 million Swedish kronor.
James Warhola, whose father was Andy Warhol’s older brother, told AFP that the family had enjoyed the works for many years but that he and his six siblings had decided to sell.
— My parents have passed away so it’s time for us to sell them and split the money.
