This weekend, the European Youth League was decided in shooting in Taliln. From Blekinge there were both rifle shooter Moa Hallberg, 18 years old, and pistol shooter Emil Thomsson, 16 years old.
– It’s the first time I’ve represented the national team abroad so it was great fun, says Moa Hallberg.
For Sweden’s pistol shooters, it did not go as well and all ended up outside the podium.
But the rifle shooting team fared better. In the bronze medal match against Italy, they quickly took the lead and were able to take home a safe victory with 74-54, 76-60, 80-64 and 84-68.
– It went very well and I hope to be selected again and do well again, says Moa Hallberg, who on weekdays is in her third year at the National Sports Confederation’s shooting gymnasium in Sävsjö.
In addition to Moa Hallberg, the bronze team also includes Jesper Johansson, Anton Samuelsson and Evelina Neumann Szilagyi.
