Masks, clothes and a bouquet of flowers were found in the car.
The police now suspect that they stopped an assassination plot, according to information to Aftonbladet.
On Monday evening, the police began a car chase after a rental car in northwest Stockholm.
The rental car managed to escape from the police, but was later found dumped in Bromma. When the car was searched by patrol, masks, clothes and a bouquet of flowers were found, according to information given to Aftonbladet.
During the same evening, a teenager who was seen in connection with the vehicle was arrested and the boy is now suspected of preparation for murder.
The case is reminiscent of a method that several perpetrators used in previous acts of violence in the Stockholm area, something Aftonbladet previously reported on.
The method used by the suspected shooters is that they pretended to be flower deliverymen when they knocked on the homes of targets, according to information.
Last weekend, there was a shooting in Sundbyberg where the suspected shooter knocked on a door with just a bouquet of flowers in his hand and then opened fire, according to information to Aftonbladet. Later in the evening, a person was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Aftonbladet has contacted the police.
