Russia’s unilateral ceasefire, which was supposed to apply until midnight last night, was already broken yesterday, and has led to increased distrust of Russian President Putin.
Both the US and Ukraine say the Russian ceasefire was a cover to regroup and mobilize more Russian soldiers.
The Russian Defense Ministry maintains that the country respects the ceasefire and accuses Ukraine of artillery fire.
