The first vote on who will be the Conservative Party’s new leader – and thus Britain’s Prime Minister – is complete.

Eight candidates made it through Tuesday’s thinning, as 20 nominations from lawmakers were required to advance to today’s vote.

This round, six of the eight remaining – Jeremy Hunt and Nadhim Zahawi went out. So four women and two men remain.
