London police are investigating a murder during the Notting Hill Carnival street party, which took place from Saturday to Monday.
A man in his 20s is said to have been stabbed in the crowd and died of his injuries, the police said.
The street party, which has been held since 1965, is back after a couple of years off due to the pandemic. The event attracts tens of thousands to the streets of the London borough of Notting Hill. The police write that over 200 interventions took place during the carnival – these are mainly about drug seizures.
