British media: Prime Minister Starmer ended plans to send migrants to Rwanda | News in brief

Britain’s new prime minister Keir Starmer put an end to plans to send illegal migrants to Rwanda on his first day of work, British media The Telegraph reported on Friday, citing Labor Party sources.

According to the newspaper, the plans have now practically been destroyed.

Starmer had previously promised to scrap the Conservatives’ plans to send asylum seekers to Rwanda. However, immigration was a key issue in the recent general election, so he is now under heavy pressure to find ways to prevent tens of thousands of migrants from entering Britain illegally across the English Channel from France.
