Weapon leveling in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 can turn into real work. However, players have now found a trick that pours out so many weapon XP in a few seconds that you can hardly keep up with the count.
Call of Duty players have a strange hobby: leveling up weapons. We are constantly trying to bring some ratchet to the maximum. We need attachments, gold camos, and most importantly, a sense of accomplishment.
If you do a quick search for release tips for leveling, then you will often find the reference to the big mode “Invasion” – nice to graze bots behind enemy lines and enjoy the XP.
However, the mode has so far hidden its most efficient way of weapon leveling. Resourceful players now discovered the method and could hardly believe how quickly the weapons went up. The ingredients: an enemy manned tank and the Storm Mine field upgrade.

How does the trick work? Sneak or drive close to an enemy “IAV” – this is a version of the tanks. You can recognize him by the fact that the flap at the top is open to get in. Now it should be clear that it’s about to get dangerous.
The tank must be occupied by an enemy soldier – otherwise the “storm mine” cannot do its job. Gather all your courage, jump onto the enemy tank and place your jamming mine on top of the open hatch.
Then you pull out the weapon you want to level up and enjoy the ascent at record speed:
The mine grants you XP as long as it is active or until you or the enemy tank go down. A real XP festival – but some players in the Reddit thread are warning about it.
The high number of XP in such a short time could be perceived as a “conspicuous value”. Some players therefore warn of a possible ban.
However, both mechanics – tank and mine – work normally, as they would work in other situations. However, the mix of the two currently provides a strong boost to Weapon XP.
However, we expect the trick to be nerfed soon. Either sooner or later than the start of Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2 – that would be November 16th.
