Ripley is a series film adaptation of the literary bestseller The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith. The original revolves around young Tom Ripley, who is supposed to bring the rich heir Dickie Greenleaf back to the USA from his hedonistic permanent vacation in Italy. Ripley likes his target’s lifestyle. And ultimately resorts to criminal methods to make his dreams come true.

Highsmith’s original book dates from 1955 and has now been filmed several times. Perhaps best known is the 1999 Oscar-nominated adaptation The Talented Mr. Ripley, which stars Matt Damon, Jude Law and Cate Blanchett.
