Vianen – The Napoleon Bridge in Vianen, or Pont Napoleon, is open again immediately. On Wednesday, the bridge was closed to car traffic, cyclists and pedestrians as a precaution. After an inspection of the bridge leading to the ferry to Nieuwegein, it turned out that cracks had appeared in the construction. Research now shows that despite the cracks, the bridge is safe enough, says the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden.
