Water has entered a power plant in Braskereidfoss in Våler municipality due to the heavy storm. During the day, the police and the defense have considered blowing up a sluice gate so that the water can flow past.
At quarter to five, parts of the bridge collapsed, according to Norwegian media. Pictures and videos from the site show how water flows through.
Already at 16.29 is visible on NRK’s live video how water flows over the dam, and several trees below the dam collapse. Ten minutes later, an entire grove of trees has been swept away by the masses of water and the dam wall has collapsed.
