It did not go right in the procurement of security guards at Möllevången in Malmö.
According to SVT’s Assignment Review, municipal security personnel were bribed by a London trip by Securitas – against leaking secret information during a procurement.
Secret recordings reveal how two municipal officials are said to have been invited to London in connection with a procurement of guards that Malmö wanted to use at Möllevångstorget. Three companies submitted bids in the procurement, which Securitas won.
The officials, who no longer work in the city of Malmö, went on the trip and are said to have visited a salsa club, among other things.
All without the approval of his boss.
During the recording, employees of the security company are heard talking about how they “drove under the table with these two bribe-takers” from the municipality. A manager is also heard saying how the officials leaked information about the procurement.
It is already known that the City of Malmö will not extend the agreement it has with Securitas regarding the guard assignment at Möllevångstorget.
Within Securitas, an internal investigation is underway after SVT’s revelation.
