Brevet dhistoire geo 2002 the relief subjects planned for this Friday

HISTORY-GEO EMC. The college certificate continues this Friday, July 1, 2022 with the EMC history-geo test. And the relief subjects were drawn by the Ministry of National Education following the “proven leak” of the subjects initially planned…

[Mis à jour le 1er juillet 2022 à 7h22] The patent of history-geography and moral and civic education (EMC) 2022 was tainted by a leak of subjects, denounced by the Ministry of National Education Thursday evening by press release to AFP. The ministry reacted after photos showing the subjects were discovered on the WhatsApp network. The relief subjects will therefore be taken out of the cupboards this Friday morning, for the history-geo test of this patent 2022, which begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m. Just over 855,000 college students will be confronted with these new subjects.

The history-geography and moral education and EMC test will therefore last 2 hours with three exercises to be carried out in this period of time: a document study, a reasoned paragraph and questions of civic education. The history-geo patent is scored on 50 points, against 100 points for mathematics and French passed yesterday by the candidates: 20 points for history, 20 points for geography, 10 points for the EMC.

If the initial subjects of the 2022 patent have leaked against the will of the National Education, other history-geo subjects of the 2022 patent have been revealed in recent weeks in complete legality. These are subjects that have fallen into North Americaas well as in the foreign examination centers of the 1st groupwhere the examination has already taken place.

2022 North American Patent History-Geo Subject

Ninth-grade students residing in North America took their college patent exams on June 1 and 2, 2022. For the patent history-geo exam, in the general series, three major exercises were presented to them.

The first exercise, assessed on twenty points, was based on the analysis and understanding of historical documents. It focused on the History of France and on the theme “French men and women in a redesigned Republic”. The supporting documents were Charles de Gaulle’s investiture speech to the National Assembly on June 1, 1958 (enough to mark the occasion by passing this test on June 1!), but also an extract from a page of the newspaper Le Monde on which appear the results of the 1962 referendum on the election of the President of the Republic by direct universal suffrage. The student had to answer five questions based on these elements.

The second exercise, also on twenty points, fell within the domain of geography. The objective here was to test the student’s abilities in terms of mastering different languages to reason and use geographical landmarks, the major geographical theme addressed being: “Why and how to develop the territory?”. They worked on a diagram, with writing of a legend and inscription of the missing elements (such as the transport axes), then had to write about twenty lines on the way in which the overseas territories are weakly integrated into their regional space but implement improvements that value them.

The third and final exercise was rated out of ten points. It required a mobilization of skills relating to moral and civic education, on the theme: “The individual or collective commitment of citizens in a democracy”. The college students had to rely on a document describing the meeting of the Turones district council in Tours in Indre-et-Loire to answer four questions relating to the democratic life of the country and the forms of civic engagement.

Subject of history-geo of the patent in the foreign centers of group 1

Third year students in the general series residing in the countries of group 1 abroad (mainly Europe, Africa and the Middle East) took their patent exams on June 14 and 15, 2022. Their subject of history-geo and EMC consisted of three major exercises:

In the first exercise, scored on twenty points and entitled “Analyze and understand documents in history”, the theme addressed was “French and French in a redesigned Republic”. Questions had to be answered on two documents: “Testimony of Denise Boucheron, quoted in the special issue of the newspaper Ouest-France, April 29, 2015” (an elderly woman testifying on women’s right to vote in France obtained after the second world War) ; and a photograph taken on August 26, 1970 in Paris, published on May 1, 2019 in the review Hérodote “Les femmes travers l’Histoire”, and captioned thus “On August 26, 1970, in Paris, women were arrested when they want to lay a wreath of flowers, under the Arc de Triomphe, for the wife of the Unknown Soldier. This is the beginning of the women’s liberation movement (MLF).”

In the second exercise, marked on twenty points and entitled “Master different languages to reason and use geographical landmarks”, it was necessary to deal with a theme of geography: “Territorial dynamics of contemporary France”. The instruction for the “Constructed development” part was “In the form of a constructed development of about twenty lines and based on a case study or on concrete examples seen in class, describe the different spaces of a urban area and explain their dynamics. You may be able to illustrate your development using a sketch.” A second part followed, “Understanding and practicing another language; using markers”. It was then necessary to name numbered territories on the map, then locate the Seine and Rhône there, and finally, four urban areas to choose from.

In the third exercise, scored out of ten points and titled “Mobilizing skills relating to moral and civic education”, the stated purpose was “Building a civic culture”. Five questions relating to participatory democracy had to be answered, based on two documents: an article by Angela Bolis, published on February 7, 2020 in Le Monde, “Municipal elections 2020: Saillans, village laboratory of participatory democracy” ; and an infographic on participatory democracy actions answering the question “Does your local authority implement participatory democracy actions with its users?” (Source: Brigitte Menguy, “Local democracy is advancing at an ant’s pace”, La gazette.fr, June 22, 2020).

The probable subjects of history-geography distilled on specialized sites for months complete what has been observed in colleges abroad. In 2022, the three exercises that make up the history-geography test could, according to the hypotheses, relate mainly to major historical themes, such as the Second World War, studied as a war of annihilation, but also the period independence and the construction of new states. We also find, in the most probable subjects, “France defeated and occupied: Vichy regime, collaboration, Resistance”. Finally, it may be useful to deepen one’s knowledge on the theme of “Weakened democracies and totalitarian experiences in Europe between the wars”.
