Luleå’s forward star Brendan Shinnimin, 34, apologizes for his actions against the home supporters in Tuesday’s SHL match against Skellefteå.
“After yesterday’s home game, I unfortunately let my feelings take over and I ended up in an unnecessary discussion with some of our supporters who, for understandable reasons, were disappointed after the match. I overreacted in that situation and therefore want to apologize to everyone involved, ”says Brendan Shinnimin in an open letter on the club’s website.

When the team chased a receipt, the 34-year-old took an unnecessary expulsion for “Abuse of officials”. After the final signal, the Canadian ended up in a hot exchange of words and gesticulated against his own fans.
The co -players tried to hold him back and pulled him off the short side.
“I have to learn from what has happened and I am now looking forward to focusing on what we all love: together to fight for Luleå hockey and that we will be able to take further victories, starting at home against HV71 tomorrow (Thursday)” .
Luleå lost rival meeting in SHL by 1-3.
