A statement regarding the meeting came from Egypt: “The parties emphasized that the people of Gaza should not be subjected to collective punishment policies such as starvation and displacement.”
The Egyptian Presidency continued its statement by saying, “The parties emphasized that the people of Gaza must have safe and urgent access to humanitarian aid.”
