Breaking News Israeli army launches airstrike on Lebanons capital

Breaking news: Following its attacks on southern Lebanon, Israel has now targeted Beirut. According to eyewitnesses, the attack was carried out against a building in Bir al-Abid, a neighborhood in the Dahiyeh region, where Hezbollah is strong.

THE ISRAELI ARMY ANNOUNCED

The Israeli army confirmed the attack in a written statement. It was alleged that the target of the attack was Ali Karaki, a commander of Hezbollah’s armed wing. There has been no statement yet on casualties or injuries in the attack.

Lebanese Health Minister Firas al-Abyad said that today’s attacks by Israel have caused the country to experience its “bloodiest day” since the 1975-1990 civil war.

Making a press statement regarding the Israeli attacks, Ebyad stated that the country had seen the highest number of casualties in a single day since the civil war.

274 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES

Noting that 274 people, including 24 children and 39 women, lost their lives in Israel’s attacks today, Ebyad said that 1,024 people were injured.

The Lebanese Minister also reported that approximately 10,000 people were injured in the 33-day war between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006, and that the number of those injured in Israel’s attacks in the last week was close to 5,100.
