Breaking news: A ceasefire was declared after the anti-terror operation launched by Azerbaijan against Armenian military forces in Karabakh. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made a statement on live broadcast for the first time after the anti-terror operation.

In just one day, all tasks were accomplished, the terrorists were punished. Our soldiers successfully carried out their duties in difficult geographical regions and under difficult conditions. “LAWLESS TROOPS WERE REMOVED FROM KARABAKH”
Our troops achieved success in the anti-terrorist operation. The illegal troops left by Armenia have been removed from Karabakh. I gave the necessary instructions to protect the civilian population in Karabakh.
As a result of the operations, part of the enemy’s weapons and equipment was destroyed. Contrary to the joint declaration signed on November 10, 2020, Armenia did not withdraw its military forces from Karabakh for 3 years.

I said that the operation would stop on the condition that the illegal Armenian forces lay down their weapons, leave our lands and hand over their military equipment. A ceasefire was declared at 13:00 today. Unfortunately, the other side did not fully comply with the ceasefire and targeted our positions even after the ceasefire. But we kept our promise.
“KARABAKH IS THE LAND OF AZERBAIJAN”
Karabakh is Azerbaijani territory. The whole world knows this, and Armenia will also accept it. All the steps we take are within the framework of the law.

Armenians living in Karabakh are also our citizens, all their rights will be provided. We have no problems with the Armenian people. We did not blame the Armenian people for these murders. We have and will continue to hold accountable those who lead the elements of the criminal regime. Now the process of illegal Armenian armed groups leaving their positions and surrendering their weapons has begun.
