Brazilian President Lula da Silva is banned in Israel, after his statements this weekend about genocide in the Gaza Strip.

– It is a serious anti-Semitic attack, says Foreign Minister Israel Katz according to media in the country.

– Greet President Lula that he is persona non grata in Israel.

It was at the African Union summit in Ethiopia that Lula described Israel’s warfare as genocide. He even compared what Israel is doing now to the Holocaust against Jews in World War II.

– What is happening in the Gaza Strip with the Palestinian people has never happened before. Or well, it has happened: when Hitler decided to kill the Jews, said the Brazilian leader.
