Since 2014, Brazil and Sweden have had an agreement whereby 36 Gripen planes – manufactured by the defense group Saab – are to be delivered to Brazil before 2027.
According to Reuters, the country may initially add four planes to that agreement and then order another 30.
At the same time, Saab announces in a press release that the group and the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer have signed a letter of intent regarding future business opportunities.
