Heavy rains have led to floods and landslides in Brazil. At least 36 people have died and over 300 people have been evacuated. At least 19 people have died in connection with floods and landslides in the state of Sao Paulo in Brazil, TT reports.
It is unclear how many are missing after the storm.
A state of emergency has been declared by state governor Tarc sio de Freitas in five cities along the coast. The military has been deployed to assist in the rescue work.
