Bratt scorer as New Jersey won neighborhood feud

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The Swedish success forward bombed in the 2-3 goal in numerical superiority as New Jersey overturned a 1-3 deficit in the “Battle of the Hudson River”.

It was Jesper Bratt’s 15th goal and 40th point in 40 games.

The New Jersey franchise has been struggling at home lately, snapping an eight-game losing streak at the Prudential Center. Damon Severson scored the winning goal in overtime and 21-year-old center star Jack Hughes for two of the goals.

Rangers star Mika Zibanejad provided a goal-scoring pass and came close to deciding in extra time when he drove to a free position, but couldn’t get the puck in behind home goalkeeper Vitek Vanecek.

New Jersey is fourth in the Eastern Conference, two points ahead of the fifth-place Rangers.
