Jenny Da Silva is “safe in the company of family,” police said in a news release.

Police didn’t say where or when Da Silva was found.

“(We) do not have any concern of foul play and there (is) no concern for public safety as a result of this missing person investigation.”

Police said no further details will be released. Officials with Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, located southeast of London, said a missing woman was found there and they declined further comment.

Friends and family of Da Silva, who urged residents across several Southwestern Ontario counties to leave their porch lights on in support of the search, were elated she has been found and is safe.

“I am so happy! Jenny has been found safe!” Steph Vandeven, a longtime friend of Da Silva’s, posted on social media. “Thank you to everyone for anything you did to help bring Jenny home safely!”

“We are incredibly grateful for all your support, prayers, and efforts in helping us find Jenny. We are relieved and overjoyed to share that she has been found safe. During this time, our family kindly requests privacy as we come together and support one another,” posted a family member.

Da Silva, a funeral director, finished work at a Woodstock funeral home at about 3 p.m. on July 5.

Security cameras captured her leaving the parking lot in her vehicle. Da Silva sent a text to one of her two daughters about 15 minutes later, near Burford, but she never made it home.

Brantford police issued a news release about Da Silva’s disappearance on Monday and appealed to the public for help in locating her. Friends knocked on doors along Da Silva’s typical route home between Woodstock and Brantford, and spread awareness through posters and social media.
