Brantford receives $1.3M casino payment from OLG

The city has received just over $1.327 million in a third-quarter payment from Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. for hosting Elements Casino Brantford.

The payment brings to just over $4 million in funds the city has received from the gaming corporation for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024. Since the casino opened in November 1999, Brantford has received just over $100.3 million.

Meanwhile, Woodstock has received a payment of just over $397,000 for hosting Gateway Casinos Woodstock. Woodstock has received close to $1.2 million so far this fiscal year and just over $26.4 million since the casino opened in June 2001.

These payments are based on a formula applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the specific site.

Host communities have received more than $2 billion in non-tax gaming revenue since 1994.
