Jodie McLean got her first big win on a The Bigger Spin Instant game.

“I went to check my ticket after an appointment and the lottery terminal froze,” McLean said while visiting the OLG Prize Center to collect her winnings.

“The retailer said I won $150. I was shocked when I realized I had actually won $150,000. I couldn’t believe it.”

McLean said she wanted to tell her daughter first but was so nervous she kept dialing the wrong number.

“She couldn’t believe it either.

“I was screaming and crying. I was thinking ‘Is this really happening to me?’ I was so happy.”

McLean said she plans to buy a car, take a trip and share some winnings with her children.

The winning ticket was purchased at Telly’s Variety on Colborne Street.

The game McLean played is a $10 ticket that combines scratch play with prizes revealed in-store by an animated spinning wheel on a lottery terminal screen. Players who get “Bigger Spin” at the store, can spin the big wheel at the OLG Prize Center where they are guaranteed a prize of $500,000 to $1 million.
