Brantford man wins 81K with numbers pulled from jar

While his wife was in Las Vegas a Brantford man was winning loads of money at home.

David Frame, 55, won a second prize worth $81,071.80 in the Aug. 30 Lotto 6/49 draw.

“My wife was in Vegas and the moon was blue and I knew it was a special day,” Frame told OLG officials in Toronto. “At first, I thought I won $67, and was happy about that. Then I realized, I forgot about the bonus number – and that’s when I realized I won big.”

This is the first big win for Frame, which has a system for selecting its lottery numbers.

“I have a jar filled with numbers and pull from those, which I use for my numbers,” he said.

The father of one said he will use his winnings to complete some home renovations and buy braces for his daughter.

The winning ticket was purchased at Linden Convenience in Brantford.
