Brantford man wins 650K while doing favor for mom

A Brantford man is grateful he pushed himself to go to do a favor for his mom despite the fact he was recovering from a stomach bug.

Kyle Boutilier, 40, agreed to go to the store for his mother and, while there, bought a Bigger Spin lottery ticket that ended up landing him a $650,000 prize.

“I scratched the ticket in the store and when I saw the wheel on the customer display screen stop on ‘bigger spin’, I knew I had won a big prize but I didn’t realize how much it would be or what excitement was in store for me,” said Boutilier.

That lead to some sleepless nights as Boutilier waited to go into the OLG Prize Center and spin the big wheel, which guarantees a prize of $500,000 to $1 million.

Boutilier plans to put a big down-payment on a new house and set aside some funds for his three children.

“And finally, I plan to buy a new Jeep.

“I am so very grateful now that my mom forced me out of the house… to run those errands for her.”
