A 27-year-old Brantford man has been charged with theft under $5,000 following a Wednesday incident at a convenience store.
Police were notified of a theft at a Dalhousie Street convenience store involving a knife at about 11:45 pm
The accused is alleged to have entered the store showing a knife before taking merchandise without attempting to pay for it. The suspect then fled the area on foot.
Officers attended the area and used police service dog Mack to track the accused to a location near Sydenham Street. The man was arrested and subsequently charged with theft under $5,000.
