Police have charged a 36-year-old Brantford man after recovering more than $150,000 worth of construction tools and equipment at a West Street property.

Police executed a search warrant on the property on June 12. They say the equipment, which was reported stolen on June 11 after a break-in at a construction site in a nearby jurisdiction, was returned to the owner.
Among the items were a towable power generator, a trailer, and various construction tools and equipment.
Members of the Brantford Police Services High Enforcement Action Team were involved in the execution of the search warrant and the investigation.
The accused is charged with break and enter, theft over $5,000 and possession of stolen goods over $5,000. In addition, he had three outstanding warrants and was held for a bail hearing.
