A Brantford man has 50,000 reasons to smile after cashing in a winning lottery ticket.

Robert Weiss won a $50,000 prize playing Instant Bingo Doubler, a game he enjoys playing even more now.
“I checked my ticket while at the store and the screen said Big Winner,” Weiss said during a visit to the OLG Prize Center in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I had to double check it to confirm the prize amount was actually $50,000,”
Weiss said he shared the news about the win with some co-workers but they didn’t believe him. He plans to use his winnings to purchase a new car and pay off some bills.
The winning ticket was purchased at All In One Convenience on Market Street in Brantford.
INSTANT BINGO DOUBLER is available for $5 a play and the top prize is $100,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.75.
Meanwhile, the jackpot for Friday’s (June 14) LOTTO MAX draw is estimated to be $55 million plus an estimated four MAXMILLIONS prizes.
The Saturday (June 15, 2024) LOTTO 6/49 Gold Ball draw is offering a $66 million jackpot. There are only two balls left – one white and one gold.
In addition to the Gold Ball Draw, LOTTO 6/49 offers a set $5 million Classic Draw jackpot every draw.
