The 12th annual Brantford Lights at Glenhyrst is about to light up the community for another holiday season.

The gallery grounds will be all aglow when the switch is flicked on Friday, Nov. 29 at 7 pm
Thousands of visitors strolled through the 16-acre Ava Road grounds last year, sparkling with an estimated 90,000 lights.
The evening will also mark the official opening of the Vibrant Palette Student Exhibition. More than 400 pieces of art created by local students will be on display until Sunday, Dec. 22.
Other happenings include:
- The gallery will be open to visitors on Tuesday and Friday evenings before Christmas from 6 pm to 8 pm
- The Merry Little Market featuring one-of-a-kind vendors, will be held in the gallery on Friday, Dec. 6, 13, and 20 from 6 pm to 8 pm
- Altitude Coffee Roasters will be serving gourmet hot drinks from their on-site drink truck on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Patrons are welcome to walk or drive through the light display on the gallery grounds at 20 Ava Rd., Brantford. Parking is limited.
Admission to the gallery and light display is free but donations are appreciated. Collection bins will also be available for food bank donations.
The Glenhyrst property, once owned by Edmund Cockshutt, a son of Cockshutt Plow Company magnate Ignatius Cockshutt, was bequeathed to the municipality in 1956 for all of Brantford residents to enjoy.
The Brantford Lights began in 2012 when Joysey Street resident Jeff MacDonald moved an extensive light display at his home to the gallery grounds. The display has grown in size each year.
