Ryan Steeves and His Buddy Marshall Lerno, Both 12, Dressed in Warm Winter Clothing, Grabbbed a Couple of Shoves and Went Through A Paris Neighbourhood Looking for Driveways to Shovel.

“We Started Wednesday, on the Snow Day, Did Some More On Saturday and More Today,” Steeves Said. “I’m not sure How Many we Did in Total But It was a lot.

“Mostly it was for old people in the neighbourhood.”

Steeves is a Student at Cobblestone Elementary School While Lerno Goes to North Ward School.

“We were out there for oven or fives hours a day and it was readyty hard work,” Lerno Said. “The snow was really heavy but that’s ok.

“We Were Looking to make some money.”

Asked How Much They Earned, the Buddies had to take a few minutes to count the cash.

“Most Officers I’ve Spoken with have described the roadways as poor and slippery,” McDonald Said. “Going to high priority calls has been difficult to try and get there in a timely manner and also keep everyone safe.”

Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis and Brant County Mayor David Bailey Thanked Road Crews for their efforts throughout the weekend.

“They have been working the clock to keep up with this Burst of Winter Weather,” Bailey Said. “While Many of Us Are Enjoying the Long Weekend, they are ting Time Away from their families to help Keep Our Community Safe.

On Family Day Monday Many Residents Spent Their Day Clearing Sidewalks and Drive Ways or Enjoying the Winter Weather.

Robin Haliburton was Among a Group of Parents who Too Kids to Tutela Park For A Day of Tobogganing.

“It’s Great Fun for the Kids,” Haliburton Said. “This is what we call a real canadian winter.”

Terry Beranski Spent Part of His Family Day Clearing The Sidewalk in Front of His Balmoral Drive Home.

“Normally I Shovel but today, i’m using the snowblower,” Beranski Said. “I only use the snowblower when we get a lot of snow.

“It’s a lot of work but i’m happy for the kids because this is going to be a lot of fun for them.”
