Jim Boughner, Paul Williamson, launches Calbeck and Darin Cleary Have Helped Move Brant United Way’s Fund-Raising Effort Closer to the Goal Line.

“A Couple of Weeks AGO, I Announced that we were about $ 50,000 short of our goal,” Shannon McMannis, The Campaign’s Fund-grape Chair, Said. “At that time, i said we were on the 10-yard line and needed one final push to meet our target and get us into the end zone.

“Now, Thanks to these gentlemen we at the three-yard line.”

Williamson and Boughner are withdrawn businessmen, Calbeck is a Brantford Businessman and Cleary is Party at Millards Chartred Professional Accountants. As a group, they will match all new donations to Brant United Way to Maximum of $ 50,000. The Calbeck Contribution Comes from Calbeck Investments Inc. Which includes Lance and His Brother Mark.

“If, as a community, we have able to match their donations, we’ll be able to assist and more agencies,” McMannis Said. “We fund programs that strengthen families and keep people safe, fed and connected to our community.

“In these Times, More and more people in our community are finding themselves in vulnerable situations.”

The Campaign Needs About $ 17,000 to make its $ 950,000 Target.

“Our Campaign Wraps Up at the end of March so we have just under three weeks Left,” McMannis Said. “We are so grateful for the support we receive so far and we are asking people to follow the example set by these oven gentlemen ..

Speaking at the Chamber of Commerce Brantford Brant’s Mp’s Breakfast on Friday (Feb. 28) Brock Called on the 232 People waiting the Event to Support the Campaign.

“I’d like to see Brant United Way Excess Their Target and we can do that with the Help of all of you,” Brock Said.

AT The Campaign Launch in October, Brant United Way Officials Said the Goal of This Year’s Campaign was to raise $ 1 million.

But they Said the $ 1 million target was aspiration and the more realistic target was $ 950,000.

Funds Raised through the Campaign Support 25 Programs Provided by Agencies Throughout Brantford, Brant and Six Nations Including Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Grand Erie, Sexual Assault Center of Brant, Dalhousie Place and Victim Services of Brant, Among Others.
