Robots, lasers, a conveyor belt and, above all, lots of plants. A new plant laboratory was opened at Utrecht University this afternoon. There, research is done into how plants adapt to their environment. According to biologist Roeland Berendsen, it is more important than ever, with a rapidly growing world population and a changing climate.
