Bram 27 has an intellectual disability and wants to become

To become a volunteer at a polling station, Bram must take a course. Together with another forty people with an intellectual disability, he has therefore registered with the Prokkel foundation, which organizes workshops in the provincial government building in Utrecht. “The occupation of the polling station must be a reflection of society,” says Marian Geling, project leader of the Sprokkel foundation. “And if you know that there are 1 million people with an intellectual disability in the Netherlands, then you also understand that it is very important that they are at the polling station. Sometimes it is difficult to do it alone. That is why they have a ‘ Prokkelmaatje’, and together they are 100 percent.”
