Brainiac is pulling the strings – The main villain of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

What’s going on in Suicide Squad? The “Kill the Justice League” in the game’s title should be taken literally. Because the only heroes in the league have all become cruel psychopaths who let loose mercilessly and no longer have any scruples. So Superman just kills people at random and even Batman, who never kills anyone else, sneakily assassinates innocent people.

But why do the heroes behave so rudely? The reason behind this is the supervillain Brainiac. But who is that? In the following paragraphs you will learn more about the ultimate threat in the game, against which even the Suicide Squad must do everything in their power to prevail in the end.

Pre-order Suicide Squad here! Brainiac – Alien tyrant

Who is that actually? Brainiac isn’t a nerdy supervillain wannabe, but rather a ruthless alien. He travels through space in his huge, skull-shaped spaceship and has now reached Earth. There he parked his ship above Metropolis and either killed the inhabitants or turned them into his vile servants. Only a few survivors remain and they too are mercilessly hunted, transformed or simply killed by Brainiac’s minions.

In addition, mysterious platforms and objects appeared all over the city, creating a kind of whirlwind. To make matters worse, gigantic gripping arms plow through the metropolis and other monsters lurk everywhere.

Brainiac’s control is absolute. He controls everything in Metropolis and that includes its defenders. Because when the heroes of the Justice League stood up to him and his invasion, they too were gradually corrupted by Brainiac and became hideous distortions of themselves.

So Superman became a cruel tyrant, Batman a ruthless killer, the Flash an even more annoying nuisance and Green Lantern a nasty sadist. Only Wonder Woman seems to escape Brainiac’s control, while the rest of the Justice League, now in Brainiac’s service, further tightens their control.

What can Brainiac do? Brainiac himself is an alien life form that uses all sorts of cybernetic implants to connect to the technology on his ship. This means he can also control the huge mechanical tentacles that snake their way around Metropolis. Brainiac can also directly attack everything and everyone in Metropolis from his ship.

Additionally, Brainiac is extremely intelligent and his plans are often several steps ahead of his enemies. So whatever you do in the game, assume that Brainiac has already hatched a plan against it.

But Brainiac’s most cruel and terrifying ability is his powerful psionic power. He can control and corrupt other beings with the power of his mind. This is apparently what he did with the Justice League, whereby he apparently did not control them directly, but rather corrupted their minds to such an extent that they followed him of their own free will and their once noble disposition was completely perverted.

Since this process obviously cannot be cured, there is only one solution: killing the former heroes, as the title of the game suggests.
You’ll find out what the fate of the former heroes and new anti-heroes ultimately is and what Brainiac’s big plan is on February 2nd, when the game is released for PS5, Xbox Series S/X and PC. You can find more information about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League here.
