A boy lost a testicle after suffering from testicular torsion which cut off the blood supply, reports SVT Nyheter Blekinge.

If he had received the correct diagnosis from the beginning, it could have been saved, believes Region Blekinge, which reported the incident to the Inspectorate for Care and Care.

The boy suffered pain in the abdomen and down the groin and scrotum. At the first visit to the emergency department, he was given antibiotics, as the pain was judged to be due to inflammation. When the pain increased, the boy was taken back to the emergency room and then underwent surgery.
