Boy shot wildly at residential building – acquitted of attempted murder

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The dramatic film shows how two masked people in black clothes jump out of a blue Audi and open fire at an apartment building on Malmvägen in Sollentuna.

A 17-year-old boy was charged with attempted murder and a 21-year-old man with aiding and abetting.

Now the district court has announced its verdict after the shooting that took place late in the evening on September 3 this year.

According to the prosecutor, the defendants belong to a criminal network in Upplands Väsby and that the residential building that the 30 shots were fired at is the base of a rival gang in Sollentuna – and that the particular gate in question is “the heart of the network”.

The explanation: An impulse thing – wanted to test

No one was injured in the shooting, but the prosecutor said that a man from the network in Sollentuna was at the scene and risked being hit in the rain of bullets, which is why, according to the prosecutor, it is an attempted murder.

The district court considered that it was proved that the 17-year-old was involved in the crime, as he himself was injured by a dangerous shot, but however acquitted both of the classification as there was no concrete danger that someone would be hit by “some of the shots in such a way that it could have resulted in death or life-threatening injuries.” The 17-year-old stated that he just decided, as “an impulse thing”, to “try shooting against a wall” and that “it was a pure coincidence that it happened to be that particular place.”

The duo are sentenced instead of extremely serious weapons offenses for possessing a rifle and a submachine gun and for vandalism after setting fire to the Audi. The 17-year-old received ten months of youth care, while the older of them received four years in prison.

Another man is sentenced to two years in prison for serious weapons offenses after handing over one of the weapons to the perpetrators.
