A minor boy is suspected of having been murdered on the night of Sunday in central Örkelljunga.
Two minor boys were arrested not long after and are now suspected of murder.
– We were alerted to a fight between young people just after midnight outside at an underpass and when we got to the scene we found a boy under 18 who was seriously injured. Unfortunately, he died on arrival at the hospital, says Thomas Söderberg, duty officer at Police Region South.
Several people are said to have been at the scene, including the boy’s girlfriend. Both of the suspected perpetrators were arrested not long after the murder.
– One of the perpetrators was arrested an hour later and the other just a moment after that. It is unclear which weapon was used, but there have been no firearms, that is all we can say at the moment, says Thomas Söderberg.
All those involved must have been minors.
– In the event of this type of crime, we activate all systems, and we cannot provide more information, says Thomas Söderberg.
The site is cordoned off and is being examined by forensics.
