In January 2023, a 15-year-old boy was shot to death in a restaurant in Skogås, south of Stockholm. Now the Court of Appeal confirms the sentence for the murderer of the same age.

The boy, who has reached the age of 16, is similarly sentenced in the district court to four years of closed youth care, informs the Svea Court of Appeal.

The evidence has, among other things, consisted of a large amount of chats from the encrypted app Signal.

A 27-year-old man who in the district court was sentenced to prison for 2 years and 6 months for aiding and abetting serious weapons crime is now sentenced for aiding and abetting murder. The penalty is increased to imprisonment for ten years.

Four people charged with, among other things, preparation and aiding and abetting murder are acquitted. Three of them were also acquitted in the district court. The fourth, a 16-year-old boy, was convicted there of failure to disclose murder.
