A boy under the age of 18 was injured on Saturday in a shooting in the Nyfors district of Eskilstuna.

The boy is being treated in hospital with life-threatening injuries, the police say.

The alarm about the incident, which is classified as attempted murder and serious weapons offences, was received by the police at 9.11pm on Saturday evening.

No one has yet been arrested on suspicion of the shooting, but the police suspect at least two of the deed.

Saturday’s shooting occurred only a day after a 25-year-old man was shot dead in the Eskilstuna district of Skiftinge. In that case, the man was already known to the police.

As of Saturday evening, it was unclear if there was any connection between the shootings, according to the police.

– It is something we are looking at, but we first need to see who the injured person is, Magnus Jansson Klarin told TT at the time.
