A teenage boy was found on Tuesday evening with a gunshot wound in the Björksätra district in Sandviken.
– We received several calls from the public about gunfire shortly after 11 p.m. and several resources went to the scene where a boy in his early teens was found with a gunshot wound, says Joar Källman, commander at police region Mitt.
The boy was taken by ambulance to hospital and at 01:00 the situation was assessed to be stable.
The police are very secretive about the course of events and whether there are any suspects in the crime.
– The boy is under 18, but we will not release any more information at this time, says Joar Källman.
The police are working at the scene with investigative measures.
