A boy has been arrested while filling up gas at a pub north of Stockholm.

Encrypted chats show that he was hired for an act of commission, according to Aftonbladet’s information.

– There were suspicions that a fire could occur, says police spokesperson Anders Bryngelsson.

Early on Tuesday morning, the police raided a gas station north of Stockholm.

A boy who filled petrol in bottles was arrested.

– It is a young guy who refueled one or more bottles and there were suspicions that a fire could occur, says police spokesperson Anders Bryngelsson.

According to Aftonbladet’s information, the police have come across encrypted chats in the boy’s mobile which show that he went to the grocery store in a taxi to fill the containers with petrol.

In the chats, they also planned and discussed an act of commission that he would perform and get paid for.

The target must have been an address north of Stockholm. According to Aftonbladet’s information, the search for the person who commissioned the crime is ongoing.

A preliminary investigation into preparation for aggravated arson has been launched.

“Never seen it before”

Recently, there has been a series of arson attacks that are believed to be part of the ongoing gang war, something that Aftonbladet previously reported on.

– It is a new approach that we have not seen before during this conflict, said Hanna Paradis, commander of the national police operation Frigg, at the time.

The police have also issued an appeal to gas stations in the affected areas and asked them to contact them if they see anything unusual.

– If, for example, you see a young person filling petrol in PET bottles, we would like to find out, said Hanna Paradis.
