It was shortly after 11 p.m. that the police received a call that a person with cut injuries had been found at Lumaparken in Hammarby sjöstad.
– He was helped by members of the public at the scene until an ambulance arrived and took him to hospital. He has serious injuries but was alive when we arrived, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson at the police in the Stockholm region.
The boy was found outdoors, but the police cannot determine the exact crime scene at this time. The entire park area is cordoned off.
– The reason we block off such a large area is because there may be traces and a possible crime scene, says Wikdahl.
A preliminary investigation into attempted murder has been launched. The police have not found any suspects and no one has been taken in for questioning.
– We don’t know what has happened, but we are talking to people on the spot, says Daniel Wikdahl.
