Boxing: Confirmed: Patricia Berghult ready for title fight against Chantelle Cameron

After going undefeated in 15 straight fights, Patricia Berghult lost the super welterweight world championship belt to Britain’s Natasha Jones just over two years ago.

Since then, the Swede has bounced back and most recently won against Vaida Masiokaite in Katrineholm for her 17th career win.

Now the 30-year-old gets a new chance at the big arenas. On November 2, Chantelle Cameron awaits in a super lightweight title fight in Birmingham.

– It feels really nice and exciting. It’s been a while now so it’s going to be really fun. I feel like I belong to the top. That’s where you want to be boxed. Then it’s always nervous, she tells SVT Sport.

How do you see your chances?

– Now that you are at the top, there are no bad opponents. She is not an impossible opponent. It’s 50/50. It’s about having my day.

33-year-old opponent Chantelle Cameron, like Berghult, has only one loss in her career (in 20 matches).
