Bouygues Telecom is launching its new B.iG offer, which includes a Bbox subscription and up to 10 mobile lines at discounted prices. A direct response to Free Family and which seems to be more flexible and more interesting.

In a context of high inflation which weighs heavily on household wallets, families are looking for the slightest savings, no matter how small. Mobile and fixed subscriptions are sometimes the first to be the subject of these financial arbitrations. Free was quick to seize this opportunity by launching its new Free Family offer, which allows Freebox subscribers and their families to benefit from four 5G mobile offers at 9.99 euros per month each for one year, with unlimited data.

Bouygues Telecom was quick to respond to this announcement and is launching, from October 7, its new B.iG brand, aimed at large families. This is an economical pack allowing you to group several mobile plans around a Bbox offer, with a decreasing price structure as soon as a new subscription is taken out. And, for once, the operator pushes the concept much further than Free, making the offer particularly interesting.

B.iG: a decreasing offer of up to ten mobile subscriptions

The B.iG credo: “the more there are, the more advantageous it is”. To benefit from it, you must first subscribe to a fiber offer, either Bbox must – 34.99 euros then 39.99 euros per month – or Bbox ultym – 42.99 euros then 47.99 euros per month – at which the operator applies a discount of 7 euros per month. Then, simply add the different mobile lines – for packages ranging from 20 GB to 300 GB. The savings made are progressive and applicable to all lines included in the pack:

  • 1 package = 5 euros savings per month
  • 2 packages = 8 euros savings per month for each of the two lines
  • 3 packages = 10 euros savings per month for each of the three lines
  • 4 packages = 10 euros savings per month for each of the four lines
  • And beyond that, it’s 10 euros of additional savings per month on each new line, up to a limit of 10 lines per B.iG family.

With B.iG, all the family’s lines are grouped together within the new Bouygues Telecom application, which provides access to the different options offered by the pack. It is also possible to benefit from a Giga Boost, which adds an additional 20 GB for free to one of the plans, three times a year.

B.iG: Bouygues Telecom shakes up the market

On paper, the operator promises a saving of 564 euros per year for a household which has a Bbox and four mobile plans – an amount which therefore increases at the same time as the number of lines added. The good news is that the prices offered are permanent and will not change at the end of the first year. The B.iG offer therefore seems much more advantageous than the new Free Family offer, which “only” allows you to save up to 480 euros in the first year, before prices increase again the following year.

Bouygues seems to have thought of everything, since B.iG allows the use of different RIBs. In fact, the operator has decided to apply a new definition of “family”, extending it to those who do not live under the same roof or to roommates for example.

With B.iG, Bouygues Telecom’s objective is to attract new subscribers, by encouraging its customers to convince their loved ones to join them thanks to ultra-competitive prices. This also helps guarantee customer loyalty: it is less easy to look elsewhere when several relatives depend on your subscription than when you are alone. Clever!
