Bouygues Telecom is launching BYOU Pure Fiber an internet offer

Bouygues Telecom is launching B&YOU Pure Fiber, an internet offer with an impressive speed of 8 Gbit/s, but without TV or landline telephone, all for less than 25 euros per month. A minimalist and radical offer to grab!

Today, fiber subscriptions no longer only offer an Internet connection, but also include numerous services and options. Customers can usually enjoy a landline at home, as well as a TV set-top box with hundreds of channels and even, sometimes, streaming services. That’s very nice, but it increases the bill significantly!

It is all the more unfortunate that Bouygues Telecom found, by carrying out a study, that 22% of households with fiber do not use their TV decoder, and that only 16% of French people use their landline telephone daily, which the latter being overtaken by the use of the smartphone. A reality which pushes the operator to modify its offer. Thus, this November 5, it is launching a subscription that is as minimalist as it is radical within its low-cost subsidiary: B&YOU Pure Fiber.

B&YOU Pure Fiber: a super fast connection at 8 Gbit/s

The new B&YOU Pure Fiber offer stands out for the exceptional speeds it offers, with 8 Gbit/s download and 1 Gbit/s upload. Enough to meet the most demanding uses, whether online gaming, high-quality video streaming, professional videoconferencing or even large file transfers. Please note, not all sockets are necessarily eligible for this speed, so it is possible that some households will have to make do with 2 Gb/s in the downstream direction and 900 Mb/s in the upstream direction.

To accompany everything, subscribers will be entitled to the most high-end and most recently released box, namely a Bbox Wi-Fi 6E. This ensures a more stable and more efficient connection throughout the house, with better management and optimization of bandwidth. It is possible to complete everything with an optional Wi-Fi 6 repeater for €4 per month. Customers will also have 24-hour assistance available via the dedicated app and telephone support for the first two months to deal with any issues.

B&YOU Pure Fiber: a minimalist offer at an unbeatable price

The B&YOU Pure Fiber offer is available at €23.99 per month without commitment. Bouygues Telecom promises not to increase this price, whatever happens, during the first and second years. If there is a price increase, it will only be from the third year of subscription. This is an unbeatable price to have such a fast internet connection. To get 8 Gbit/s from the competition, you have to spend €52.99 per month with Orange (€34.99 per month for the first six months), €49.99 per month with Free (€39.99 per month for first year) or €44.99 per month at SFR. Much higher prices, therefore, but which correspond to formulas integrating numerous services, such as television and subscriptions to streaming platforms.

As for existing subscriptions without TV, they are unfortunately not as efficient in terms of speed. It costs €24.99 per month for the SFR RED box Fiber package without TV at 500 Mbit/s with a Wi-Fi 5 modem, for example. So, when is the next step, namely an Internet offer allowing users to use their own modem router?
