From today, November 21, 2023, you can see a comedy that has just arrived on Amazon Prime * and has already caused a stir in the USA as a new Fight Club variant: Bottoms unleashes his schoolgirl fight club and gives David Fincher’s film with Brad Pitt and Edward Norton a new twist.

The plot of Bottoms is quickly explained: PJ (Rachel Sennott) and Josie (The Bear star Ayo Edebiri) are best friends, but neither particularly well-known nor particularly popular at their high school. It’s only when the two queer teenagers in the car accidentally kill the school’s football star, Jeff (Nicholas Galitzine), that their reputation unexpectedly increases.
Riding on this new wave of popularity, they decide to create a new fight club. Apparently, for others repressed students receive tutoring in self-defense admit. But really just to tease the two cheerleaders they’ve had crushes on for a long time. This way they could still manage to finally have sex by the time they graduate.

Bottoms plays with well-known teen film themes such as the desired loss of virginity, but also blatantly ties in with the idea of David Fincher’s cult film Fight Club with Edward Norton and Brad Pitt. It will be comedic violent group therapy moved to a high school and changed it so that this time instead of men only young women as defensive members are allowed to join – which makes for a refreshingly wacky mix.
Is Bottoms on Amazon worth it?
The biggest unique selling point for Bottoms on Amazon Prime is his kinky charm. Because although the two main characters act out of selfish motives under the guise of feminism and tell outrageous lies, you can never be angry with them for long, despite all their obvious mistakes.

Who Foreign embarrassment and faux pas If you can’t stand comedy well, Bottoms might not be the right choice for you. But the film pairing of Fight Club and Girls Club often hits the diaphragmatic target with the punches they throw when Blood and laughter mix up.
After director Emma Seligman’s feature film debut Shiva Baby (also with Rachel Sernott) resonant entertainment produced, she works in Bottom’s stereotypes in an extremely amusing way on. Equality is achieved by the fact that in the end every character comes out as a person full of flaws – from the unambitious teacher (Marshawn Lynch) to the adored pom-pom swinger (Havana Rose Liu) to the main roles of the lustful losers.
