The national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Russia in a national match to be played in November. The star players of the Bosnian team announced their opinion on the match arranged by the union.

UEFA and FIFA banned Russia from official matches after Russia invaded Ukraine last February. Despite this, the men’s national team has been able to arrange international matches. This autumn, the team will face Kyrgyzstan, Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina in international matches.
Russia face Bosnia and Herzegovina in St. Petersburg on November 19 – just one day before the World Cup kicks off in Qatar. The emergency committee of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided on the match in its extraordinary meeting. In the vote, five voted for the match and only one against.
The star players of the Bosnian team have been shocked after seeing the news about the match being decided by the union.
– I was very shocked when I saw it. I don’t know what else I can say other than I’m against the match, a Center Back currently playing for Sheffield United Anel Ahmedhodzic said to the Bosnian to the SportSport.ba website (you will switch to another service).

Having a long career in the Italian Serie A and now playing in the UAE League Sharjah FC Miralem Pjanic announced according to the Guardian that he does not like the decision to play in Russia.
Also captain of the Bosnian team, Inter star Edin Dzeko has stated that he is strongly against the match.
– I am always on the side of peace. The union knows my opinion. “Unfortunately, I’m not the person who decides who Bosnia and Herzegovina will play against, but I’m the captain and I think we shouldn’t play this match while at the same time innocent people are suffering,” Dzeko said To the Klix website (you will switch to another service).
Dzeko announced that he will not participate in the match.
