The absence of the fantastic Börje Salming is great.
Now a video is spreading in social media showing his greatness.
When Börje sent a personal greeting to two little guys – and it really touches everyone.
November 24 fell asleep Börje Salming in after battling the nerve disease ALS. His last time in life became a long tribute tour to his greatness as a hockey player.
Salming’s resignation
Salming got to say goodbye to all the fans in Toronto with a flash visit to Canada for a few days and big tributes from his old team the Toronto Maple Leafs. Then he got a dignified farewell from Swedish hockey also during the “Tidernas hockey gala” in the Avicii arena, where he was celebrated with a standing ovation and awarded with double prizes.

When the final day came, social media flooded with condolences and tributes to the late hockey legend who touched so many. Millions of kroner have also been collected for his own foundation to support research into ALS.

“Typical Börje”
The other day “Börje Salming’s foundation” published a beautiful video, see below, on Instagram from Börje’s life. And it really leaves no one untouched.
“Börje made this greeting spontaneously and without thinking. He was asked before a podcast recording if he could say hello to two little brothers who had just started playing hockey. It was obvious and here you can see the result. So typical of Börje to ‘just do and show up’ big or small”, writes the foundation in its post.

In the video, you can see and hear Börje Salming show her big heart for the two little guys.
“Hey, Alfred and Gustav! I hear you are hockey friends, that was nice to hear. Because hockey is so much fun. Either to drive yourself or to watch, when it happens a little. Have a good time, guys!” says the hockey legend.

The nice video has received over 7,000 likes on Instagram and a lot of comments from people who remember Börje fondly.
